Martin Brian Mulroney is a retired Canadian politician who served as Canada's 18th Prime Minister from September 17, 1984 to June 25, 1993. His tenure as Prime Minister was marked by the introduction of major economic reforms, such as the Canada-States -United. Free Trade Agreement and Goods and Services Tax. The Mulroney government also privatized 23 of 61 crown corporations, including Air Canada and Petro Canada, as well as the Floor Connaught Laboratory, now part of Sanofi.
