John MacBeth Paxson is an American basketball coach and former player who served as executive vice president of basketball with the National Basketball Association of Chicago Bulls from 2009 to 2020. He was their CEO from 2003 to 2009. Paxson played 11 NBA seasons for San Antonio Spurs and Chicago Bulls, winning three championships as a member of the Bulls. He is an all-American college player at the University of Notre Dame.
