He has also served as Assistant Secretary of State for U.S. Republican Affairs to Presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt and Harry S. Truman as well as to Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare under Dwight D. Eisenhower since five 1953 to 1954. Is the grandson of billionaire John D. Rockefeller and a member of the wealthy Rockefeller family, he is a renowned art collector and director of the Rockefeller Center in Manhattan, New York. Rockefeller is a Republican who is generally considered liberal, progressive or moderate.
